Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakesh – High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Agdz

Departure from your accommodation in Marrakesh and travel through the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass while enjoying panoramic views of mountain valleys and traditional Berber villages.

Continue to Aït Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy free time to explore its narrow passages, earthen buildings, and hilltop viewpoints.

After the visit, continue through Ouarzazate and travel across the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward Agdz. Arrive in the Draa Valley, known for its palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and traditional villages.

Overnight in Agdz.

Day 2: Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora – Tamegroute – M’Hamid – Erg Chigaga

Leave Agdz and travel along the Draa Valley through extensive palm groves and small villages. Continue to Zagora before stopping in Tamegroute, a village known for its traditional green pottery workshops and cultural heritage.

The journey continues to M’Hamid, located at the edge of the Sahara. From here, change to a 4×4 vehicle and begin the off-road journey across rocky plains and remote desert landscapes.

Arrive at the Erg Chigaga dunes in the afternoon. An optional camel ride can be arranged to experience the dunes during sunset.

Dinner and overnight in a desert camp can also be arranged upon request.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the Erg Chigaga dunes. After breakfast, begin an adventurous 4×4 journey across the remote desert plains surrounding Lake Iriqui.

Continue toward Foum Zguid, where the off-road section ends. Travel through the landscapes of southern Morocco before reaching Taznakht, a town known for its handmade Berber carpets and traditional weaving.

After an optional visit to a local carpet cooperative, continue toward Ouarzazate.

Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakesh

Begin the final day by exploring Ouarzazate. Depending on your preferences, you can visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah or discover the city’s famous cinema studios.

Afterward, travel back toward the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy stops for panoramic views and photographs while crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
