Itinerary

Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Departure in the morning from Agadir towards Taroudant, a charming town surrounded by ramparts made of adobe and famous for its craft souks.

Continue to Taliouine, a region renowned for the cultivation of saffron, Morocco's red gold. After lunch, the road leads to Taznakht, then to the majestic Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, an architectural gem listed by UNESCO and the filming location for many movies.

At the end of the afternoon, drive to Ouarzazate, at the gateway to the desert.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Dadès Gorges – Todgha Gorges – Tinghir

After breakfast, depart for the Kasbahs, passing through El Kelaa M'Gouna, the city of roses. A stop in the Valley of Roses will allow you to admire the flower-filled landscapes and Berber villages.

Continue to Boumalne Dadès and its spectacular gorges, before arriving at the impressive Todgha Gorges, where steep cliffs dominate a narrow canyon.

The day ends in Tinghir, a peaceful oasis surrounded by palm groves.

Day 3: Tinghir – Alnif – Tazarine – Zagora

After breakfast, visit the palm grove of Tinghir and the traditional Jewish quarter.

The road continues through the Saghro Mountains, passing through Alnif and Tazarine, typical Berber villages. You will cross the Boughafer massif before reaching Zagora, a green oasis that was once a stopover for caravans connecting Morocco to Timbuktu.

Day 4: Zagora – Tamegroute – M'hamid – Erg Chegaga

In the morning, departure for Tamegroute, famous for its ancient Koranic library and green pottery workshops.

Continue to M'hamid, the last town before the desert, where lunch is served in a nomad tent.

Then, set off on a 4x4 adventure through the hamadas, dunes, and isolated oases until you reach the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga, over 300 meters high.

Enjoy a camel ride at sunset, followed by a traditional dinner, Saharan musical entertainment, and a night under the stars in a camp in the heart of the desert.

Day 5: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Taliouine

Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the dunes, an unforgettable moment.

After breakfast, set off in a 4x4 on the Paris-Dakar rally track, crossing the dry lake of Iriqui and areas rich in natural fossils.

Stop at Foum Zguid, then drive to Taznakht for lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Taliouine, surrounded by saffron fields and mountains.

Day 6: Taliouine – Taroudant – Agadir

After breakfast, return to Agadir. A stop in Taroudant allows you to stroll one last time through its souks and along its ramparts.

Arrival in Agadir in the afternoon, marking the end of this 6-day desert tour from Agadir to Erg Chegaga.
